The First Annual Chili Cook-off!

On Wednesday, November 16, the congregation gathered for a taste-testing extraveganza! We had NINE chilis entered in our contest and they ALL were simply OUTSTANDING! I was previously unaware that the vast differences in ingredients and spices could exist in one dish, it was a pleasant surprise!

Our winner, with a heat that snuck up on you after a few seconds, was the chili made by our own Jason Downs! As the winner of the First Annual Chili Cook-off, Jason took home a brand new Crock Pot so that he can continue his culinary prowess. Congratulations to Jason and all of our chili cooks - everyone was a winner!
